Now that we know we have our dates locked in - its time to begin fundraising. So far we've 2 people on the Fundraising Committee, Stan Levy and Carolyn Hay, we would like to have 2 more people to assist. If you would be willing, please let Dave Fitzsimmons or Deb Davis know. These funds go into each scouts "camp account" and may be used for Seabase, Summer Camp, To Pay for Monthly Camping Fee, etc. These fundraising efforts are not limited to Seabase. We are also looking at going to the Boundary Waters in 2004 with our Troop. Those young men ineligible for Seabase will be eligible for Boundary Waters. These fundraising efforts are for EVERYONE for now and later and are not solely focused on Seabase. We are going to S-F to Summer Camp this year as well so we've that camp coming up in July 2002. S-F will cost \\$115 and be due on or before April 25, 2002. For those who will not be able to attend Seabase in 2003, you will still have an opportunity to be attending Summer Camp in 2003. We can plan on attending S-F or we will be looking into an out-of-council camp. We will be needing a couple of parent volunteers to assist with this task of setting up and planning for a more conventional summer camp for those who will be unable to attend Seabase. There are several outstanding camps within the state of Missouri and in other councils as well as out of state. Any question, comments about Seabase and our Fundraising goals etc., please contact Dave Fitzsimmons and/or Debbie Davis. |
